Food Security Programs
Many St. Mary’s Colleges collaborate with local food banks, shelters, and soup kitchens to address hunger and food insecurity in their surrounding communities:
- Food Drives: Students often participate in food drives, collecting donations from fellow students and community members. These donations are then distributed to food banks or directly to families in need.
- Volunteer at Soup Kitchens: Students and staff volunteer at local soup kitchens, preparing and serving meals to homeless or low-income individuals and families.
- Community Gardens: Some colleges establish community gardens where students and local residents grow fresh produce for donation or local consumption.
