Livelihood Restoration and Recovery

April 05-6/2025 Ethiopian Catholic Church Diocese of Adigrat Wukro St. Mary’s Institution Social Development Program, “Livelihood Restoration and Recovery for war and drought affected communities of four woredas of Eastern Zone Project”. The training on sheep and poultry production and management took place at the Ethiopian Catholic Church Diocese of Adigrat St. Mary’s College campus. Instructed by St. Mary’s College agriculture instructors and the Kilte-Awlaelo Woreda office of agriculture, the program included both theoretical and practical components. Topics covered included introduction project objectives, breed improvement, site selection, housing, feeding, pregnancy management, newborn rearing, health prevention, disease control strategies, and record keeping. A total of 197 participants (97 males and 100 females), along with four woreda experts and development agents, attended the training, which proved to be fruitful and helpful.
