Training focused on trauma healing and life skills

From September 12–14, 2025, the ECC-Diocese of Adigrat’s Wukro St. Mary’s Institution Social Development Program and the Kilte-Awlaelo Woreda Education Office conducted training for 37 school staff in 3 complete primary schools (teachers, supervisors, and administrators) affected by war and drought. Held at St. Mary’s College, the training focused on trauma healing, life skills, and school gardening through presentations, practical sessions, and group discussions was trained by college instructors. The goal was to restore self-reliance, rebuild community networks, and empower school staff to support recovery. The training was supported by the Ferster Foundation (Switzerland) and received positive feedback.
