Starting April 24, 2026, the Ethiopian Catholic Church Adigrat Diocese (Wukro St. Mary’s Social Development Department), together with the technology team, completed installing solar panels in two primary schools (Adiekli and Bahra) in Kilte Awlaelo woreda.

The solar power gives 24-hour electricity. It helps schools print documents and exams, charge mobile phones, and support mothers’ health services. It also reduces the cost of fuel for lighting.

In total, 35 teachers and 730 students benefit from this service
